The government of Bandon is run by the City Council, and the Administrative Staff. By Charter, the Council is composed of a mayor, elected for a two-year term, and six councilors elected to serve four year terms. The Council provides the overall direction and vision for the city by a biennial setting of goals.
The Administrative Staff, through the City Manager, City Attorney and City Recorder report directly to the council and provide information sufficient for them to make informed decisions.
